RE: Three lines involving Mayurbhanj and Kendujhar districts - early developments - Chitta - 01-06-2024 Following screenshot from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i3TeRU-Wnk&ab_channel=MayurbhanjRailfanClub shows the proposed alignment for Gorumahisani-Bangiriposi line. The 62 km calculation seems wrong as the following road alignment is 84.8 kms. RE: Three lines involving Mayurbhanj and Kendujhar districts - early developments - Chitta - 01-06-2024 Note that there used to be (may still exist) a anarrow gauge line between Bangiriposi and Talabandh. See. https://wiki.fibis.org/w/Baripada-Talbond_Railway . The Bangiriposi - Charabandh segment is part of that. So that part just need to be upgraded to broad gauge and won't need much (or any) land acquisition for that part.
