Honestly requesting to students. Please don't follow The NIRF Rankings Blindly, even don't took Decision chooseing colleges basis on NIRF Rankings.
Institution like KIIT & Shiksha 'O' Anusandhan getting ranks 26, 29. Where IIT BBSR getting 91 rank. Is that believable ?
Whole NIRF Ranking itself a fraud, A group of private institution owners Just making Money, They hardly invest on R&D....

Would any student (who got a chance to admit in IIT BBSR) leaving IIT BBSR and join KIIT just because it ranked 29 in NIRF Overall Section ??

IIT Bhubaneswar is among two IITs (the other being IIT Kharagpur) that are starting 4yr BSc BEd programs. Its webpage is https://itep.iitbbs.ac.in/ .

• School of Basic Sciences: 16 in Physics, 14 in Chemistry, and 17 in Mathematics. (Plus 1 visiting in Math)
  
• School of Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences: 14 regular faculty, 1 visiting faculty and 7 adjunct faculty.
  
• School of Electrical Sciences: 10 in Electrical Engineering, 19 in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and 9 in Computer Science and engineering (plus 1 visiting faculty) - 2 expected to join in Computer Science in a month.
  
• School of Humanities, Social Sciences & Management: 7 in Economics, 6 in English, 3 in Psychology, and 3 in Philosophy
  
• School of Infrastructure: 25 faculty
  
• School of Mechanical Sciences: 25 faculty

This visionary program aims to create 100 startups, each with a valuation of Rs. 100 crores by the 100th Anniversary of Odisha in 2036. To achieve this goal, the Park will provide essential resources, mentorship, seed capital and access to potential investors. The Park is set to expand from its present 20,000 square feet area to about 80,000 square feet over the next two years with the generous support of Rs. 130 crore from the Ministry of Education.

SiCSem to collaborate with IIT Bhubaneswar for building the
Compound Semiconductor ecosystem in India

Bhubaneswar, 15th June 2024: SiCSem Private Limited and the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT) Bhubaneswar signed a Memorandum of Agreement to collaborate on research in the field of Compound Semiconductors. The first project to be carried out as part of this agreement would indigenize Silicon Carbide (SiC) crystal growth at IIT Bhubaneswar. Estimated to cost Rs. 45 crore, this project would bring in the know-how of high volume production of 150 mm and 200 mm SiC wafers. SiCSem Private Limited plans to establish a SiC process fabrication and ATMP plant in Odisha.

This will help India to become self-sufficient in power semiconductor devices for advanced technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), fast chargers, green energy, PV inverters, motor controls, and beyond 5G communication. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar and an expert in semiconductor devices, said that this collaboration will promote innovation and selfreliance in SiC crystal growth, and represents a major industry-academia partnership for IIT Bhubaneswar. The collaboration will contribute significantly to the development of the semiconductor ecosystem in Odisha and the nation's semiconductor industry, in line with India Semiconductor Mission, Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
