ECOR Jurisdictions
#1
After SCOR is established the current VSKP division will be split and part of it will go to the Vijayawada division, part to a new Rayagada division and part to Khurda Road division. As per wikipedia today (Dec 1, 2023) the following 450 kms will go to SCOR

  • Kottavalasa - Araku (inclusive) controlled by Vijayawada division of SCoR.
  • Vizianagaram - Raipur line: Vizianagaram - Kuneru(inclusive) Controlled by Vijayawada (BZA) division of SCoR.
  • Vizianagaram - Howrah main line: Vizianagaram - Naupada Junction (Excluding) Controlled by Vijayawada (BZA) division of SCoR.
Thus
  • The segment from Naupada junction (including) to the north will become part of Khurda Road division (115 kms)
  • The segments north of Araku (exclusive) and north of Kuneru (exclusive) will become part of the new Rayagada division. (541 kms)

The updated border between ECOR and SCOR is marked below. It is not well thought out though; as now the Parlakhemundi-Gunupur segment is a bit orphaned with neither a direct ECOR connection to the Rayagada division HQ nor to Bhubaneswar.  This will change when the Gunupur-Therubali line is constructed. But that could take another 10 years.
