Quote:The Musa River extension project aims to revive the historic course of the Musa River and connect it with the Mangala River through greenways and lakes. The project includes dredging and de-silting of the river, removal of invasive weeds, and provision of recreational activities.
A 3.2 km stretch from Devi Ghat to the Kanchi River will be developed including riverfront development with landscaping, cycle tracks, pedestrian pathways, and other amenities like surface parking.
A 16-acre riverfront development area will feature facilities such as an entrance plaza with parking, viewing plaza with solar trees and selfie decks, recreational zone as well as a boat club with water sports facilities.
Being developed by @OBCC_Odisha, the project seeks to restore the ecological balance of the Musa River while providing accessible and enjoyable recreational spaces for the community.
