As per https://statisticstimes.com/demographics...lation.php Odisha's population in 2023 is estimated to be 46.4 million and is expected to rise to 49.1 million by 2036.
So Odisha should have 4640 medical seats now and 4910 medical seats by 2036.
As per https://www.nmc.org.in/information-desk/...hing-mbbs/ (search: Orissa) Odisha has 2525 seats in 17 medical colleges. Three more in Jajpur, Phulbani and Talcher are coming up soon. So there is need for at least 10 more medical colleges and some of the existing ones need to expand their capacity.
