The CM also outlined a sweeping statewide medical overhaul, which includes expansion plans for four key government hospitals:
VIMSAR, Burla: ₹1,594 crore to raise beds from 1,485 to 2,861
MKCG, Berhampur: ₹1,014.13 crore to increase capacity from 1,583 to 2,033 beds
Rourkela Government Hospital: ₹627.16 crore for expansion from 437 to 763 beds
Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar: ₹5,958 crore to boost from 750 to 2,582 beds
Additionally, Acharya Harihar Cancer Institute in Cuttack will also grow, with 1,127 beds planned under an ₹895.89 crore redevelopment.
