Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will on Tuesday inaugurate India’s second ‘Rashtriya Adarsha Veda Vidyalaya’ (National Model Vedic School) in the pilgrim town of Puri.

The school has been constructed on the premises of Central Sanskrit University, Shree Sadashiv Campus here.

Apart from the main campus of the Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, around five new National Model Vedic Schools are planned. 

Under this plan, Pradhan will inaugurate country’s second such school tomorrow.

In the coming days, a Vedic institute will be established in the north-eastern state along with three other dhams (Badrinath, Dwarka and Rameswaram).

The Government of India has approved the establishment of such institutes at Uttarakhand’s Badrinath, Karnataka’s Sringeri, Gujarat’s Dwarka and Assam’s Guwahati.
