Bhubaneswar: If things go as per the plan, Kalinga Studio in Odisha capital here will once again become a sought-after place for film producers and directors.
The iconic studio ... is now undergoing a massive transformation with the allocation of Rs 200 crore by the state government.
The first phase of the transformation work of Kalinga Studio is likely to be completed by December 31 this year, sources said.

The construction work of entrance plaza, community hall, ticket counter, locker, security office, restaurant, café, shooting floor, sound recording room, dubbing room, auditorium, audio visual room, sound control room, animation work station, movie editing room, rehearsal room, sound proof room, photography zone, artificial village and many other facilities are now going on at full pace at the studio.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has decided to establish a modern library in memory of the great freedom fighter late Biswanath Pandit at the Puri-Angul bus stand located at Badambadi in Cuttack city.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the iconic building for Biswanath Pandit Library with a cost of Rs. 30,58,31,100.

The modern library will have a grand reading hall, which will be useful for students in their preparation to crack different competitive examinations, the CMO stated in a release today.
The stilt plus 3-floor library will have a 100-capacity auditorium, cafeteria, ample parking area apart from a wide stock of books, and a conducive environment for learning.

Bhubaneswar: Leading aluminium manufacturing company Hindalco, a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Group, will set up a two MTPA alumina refinery plant in Odisha’s Rayagada district.
In this regard, Odisha Mining Corporation today signed an MoU with Hindalco Industries for providing long-term raw material linkage for the alumina refinery project at Kansariguda in Rayagada district.

This is Hindalco’s second refinery project in the Rayagada district. Its Utkal Alumina Industries Limited (UAIL), with a capacity of 1.5 MTPA, has already started production at Baphlimali.

A top-level delegation led by Ajay Vij, Country Managing Director, Accenture India met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today and had an extensive discussion regarding the company’s plans for the state.
