Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN)
Posted by: Chitta - 09-15-2024, 07:15 PM - Forum: Research Institutes & Research Areas - No Replies

Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi asks the CM about land for Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN). Following is an excerpt from https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/...-odisha-cm

Quote:Sarangi told mediapersons after the meeting with the chief minister that she discussed setting up of Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) under the aegis of ministry of AYUSH and a 100 bed hospital at Jatni,  ... The MP also released four separate letters written to the chief minister in this regard on September 12.

She said 20 acre of land had been allocated on lease by the state government in Binjhagiri mouza of Jatni tehsil to the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN). Though funds are available, CCRYN is not able to take possession of the land due to lack of support from the local administration. She requested the chief minister to issue appropriate direction to the Khurda district administration to make the land available for construction of CRIYN.

  New train ideas
Posted by: Chitta - 09-10-2024, 03:40 PM - Forum: New Trains and Time Tables - No Replies

IDEA: A new train in the route Jeypore - Koraput Jn - Suku -  Paliba - Machhkunda Road - Bheja - Padua - Darliput - Kottavasla Jn - Vizianagaram - Brahmapur - Bhubaneswar.

Why

  • The stations Suku -  Paliba - Machhkunda Road - Bheja - Padua - Darliput  do not have direct connection to the capital region.
  • Connecting them to the capital region would help develop the toursim potential of that area which includes mountains, valleys, waterfalls as well as large water bodies.

Initial suggestion by: https://x.com/OdishaRail/status/1833520042920857649 , which says that

Quote:We are hopeful that this time you will get a second train from Jeypore to Bhubaneswar via Suku very soon.

As I twitted (https://x.com/Odishalinks/status/1833526651726270696), this is an excellent idea. Having direct connections to the stations Suku, Paliba, Machhkunda Road, Bheja, Padua and Darliput (all in Odisha) from Bhubaneswar would help develop the tourism potential of that area.

See maps below.
